AVRO Lancaster
Just two Lancaster bombers remain airworthy in the world, one of them maintained by the Royal Air Force and flown by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at RAF Coningsby. Hawker Restorations was chosen to overhaul this priceless aircraft’s undercarriage and here you may see a few photographs of our work, a meticulous process of stripping down, analysing for damage, repairing, reassembling and pressure testing.
