Sheet Metal Worker/Airframe Fitter

Hawker Restorations is looking for a self-motivated experienced sheet metal detail fitter, knowledgeable in aerospace materials and their properties.  An ability to understand engineering drawings and process specifications is essential.  In addition, to piece part manufacture, duties will include primary airframe assembly work and system installation.  Experience working with basic hydraulic and fuel systems will be an advantage.  The position does not require the applicant to hold national or EASA aircraft maintenance engineer qualifications. The successful candidate’s primary role will be working to restore warbirds back to airworthy condition. We have several projects running concurrently so we will need someone who can hit the ground running. We operate under a CAA A8-24/25 license, previous experience working under a similar license would be ideal. As you will see from our website we specialise in the restoration and maintenance of Hawker Hurricanes, whilst we do specialise in Hurricanes we do get involved in multiple aircraft types. This is a full-time role but we also welcome applications from contractors.
